The Company Nuova Ruggeri, based in North Italy, is a leading producer of puff pastry and other baked confectionery products. Originally called Industria Dolciaria Ruggeri, the Company was set up in 1963 by Andrea Ruggeri, the father of the current owner Massimo. In November 1993, the company moved to new premises in Cremona, which are equipped with state-of-the-art production systems to ensure high output. This has enabled Nuova Ruggeri to increase its market share and compete in foreign markets.

Nuova Ruggeri’s sales network covers the entire Italian market and has a good foothold in Austria, Germany, Belgium, Holland and Spain. With the advent of private label products, the opportunity to sell abroad has undoubtedly increased and exports now cover 35% of the company’s turnover, the aim being to increase the figure to 50% by the start of the year 2001.
